From the Sellers:
What we Love about this home:

Bought in 2014 we set out to create a home that our family could escape to and make some wonderful memories. It was important for us not to be on a highway or state route like so many homes and be able to create some privacy and security. Only an hour and half away from the Seattle area and no need for long ferry lines we could take a quick trip to get away from the hustle and bustle but at the same time be close enough that if business or other reasons required us to be back we could make that happen easily.

“Peaceful Waters”. We wish we had been the original ones to bestow this name on the home but the truth is it was there way before us. It is however one of the things that drew us in. True to its name the waters at this point of the cove remain calm and peaceful due to the barrier and island across the way. Our shores are not beaten and do not erode with waves and turbulent waters. Additionally we do not have the barnacle covered rocks that occur as a result of the aforementioned. The pebbled shores are very walkable and the softer tidelands further out provide for an abundance of clams and oysters. Paddle boarding and kayaking is a breeze with these peaceful waters!

Wildlife. From watching the seals and pups chase fish in front of the property or eye you in your kayak as you paddle out, to the Eagles teaching their kids to fly up and down the cove or catch a fish right out of the water, the wildlife here is abundant and magical. Deer will occasionally cross from the hills across the street, meander through a yard and swim over to the other side only to disappear into the forest. Or the otter chasing the tide in and out along the shore before heading back up stream to wherever they call home.

A gateway to land roads don’t travel. When we occupied the home before renting it we had a buoy directly out front which we tied our pontoon boat to. Regularly we would go visit the state parks that are only accessible by boat or pull a tube with the kids. Most days we always took the opportunity to cruise around the inlet, watch the beautiful sunset colors, look at all the beautiful homes and other folks enjoying the outdoors.

Out there but not too out there. One thing that was important to us was that if we ran out of milk it wasn’t a trek to go pick up some more. Or if we wanted to grab a bite to eat out we didn’t have to drive very far to make that happen. The town of Allyn is perfect for all these things. The drive through coffee is really great, it has a super cute Ice/cream doughnut shop that rents paddle boards and kayaks, Dining on the water at The Boat House, Mexican cuisine with some awesome views or fantastic pizza from Allyn Pizza can hit the spot! Also, for those golf lovers there are 3 courses within easy driving distance! Need a little more? The town of Belfair has it all!

Just Chill! Most of all, we just wanted a place to chill. It’s the perfect place to do just that. Weather out by the firepit, snuggled by the inside fire or lounging in the hot tub day or night, it’s hard to beat.

Why are the sellers selling?

The single most asked question…. We have had the fortunate opportunity to move our primary home to a lake-front property in the area we live currently. We have no need for two waterfront homes.
